Student Support Assistant – 1 x 32.5 hours & 1 x 13 hours
At Huddersfield New College, we strive to ensure that every student receives an outstanding quality of education, one which enables them to progress successfully from the College to the university, employers or apprenticeships of their choice.
As a student support assistant you will be involved in the care and support of a range of students. Your responsibilities will include supporting in lessons, with movement around College, emotional support and generally helping the students with all of the challenges they will face on a daily basis. You will need to be a caring and patient person who is confident in both written and verbal communication.
Both posts are fixed term roles, 1 x 32.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, term time only plus 2 days and 1 x 13 hours per week (flexible), term time only plus 2 days
The salary for these posts is within the NJC pay spine range 15 – 18 of the NJC pay framework for Support Staff, £16,500 – 17,350 per annum (reduced to £12,256 - £12,888 for full time post and £4,903 - £5,155 for part time post, to reflect the reduced working nature of these roles.), pay award pending.
