Class of 2019: Another record breaking year of results
In 2019 students achieved record breaking results, confirming Ofsted's judgement that learner outcomes at the College are 'outstanding.' This is in a year where students sat the challenging Linear A Levels, decided solely by final exams, with no links to coursework and to AS levels. Some headline results include:
- 100% pass rate for both A Level and Vocational courses.
- 50% achieving the highly coveted top grades of A* A and B (an increase of 9% from 2018)
- Overall 69% of our Class of 2019 achieved high grades A* A and B (or equivalent) (an increase of 3% from 2018)
The news comes following confirmation that the College was named as TES Sixth Form College of the Year 2019 and the number one for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion for the third year running in the 2019 National Centre for Diversity Awards.
Here at the College our focus is upon ensuring each and every student achieves their potential, and secures grades that open doors to Universities and employers of choice. Our case studies will be published soon, but this year we were delighted that three students secured places to study Medicine, and one of our students secured a place at UCL to undertake a degree in Neuroscience.
