Are you ready to step into the spotlight? Do you have ambitions to work in the industry and want to be a versatile performer? This 1 A Level equivalent course will help you to prepare for your future by focussing on your singing, acting, dance and performance skills.
General entry criteria applies and relevant experience will be required.
The topics you will study will see you growing your skills and knowledge. These include:
• Singing techniques for performance
• Musical theatre techniques
• Investigating practitioners work
• Developing skills and techniques for live performance
• Group performance workshop
• Performing Arts in the community
• Individual performance commission
• Final live performance to an audience
You will hone your skills in our state-of-the-art theatre which was revamped in summer 2019. This unique space features industry standard lighting and sound, giving you the chance to experience life as a professional performer whilst at College.
Studying this subject at HNC is an immersive experience, and our experienced subject specialists will support and challenge you, honing your skills and ability as a performer.
You will also enjoy tuition from our visiting vocal teachers, and wow an audience at our end of year musical!
Assessment is via internal and external assessment.
You will be prepared to progress to degree level study or industry. Many of our students move on to a future in Musical Theatre. Alumni include Lawrence Guntert who has performed in West Side Story and Rosie O’Hare who has performed in a range of musicals including Hairspray and The Sound of Music.
