These qualifications will provide you with the knowledge, skills and experience required for an exciting range of roles within the creative media industry such as production, commissioning and editing.
We offer the course at two separate levels, and the qualification level you opt for will be determined by your future career plans.
BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media is a three A Level equivalent. This is a full time study programme and is therefore ideal if you have decided on a career or degree in the media industry.

The topics you study will give you a wide and comprehensive understanding of the creative industries and prepare you for further study or employment. Topics you’ll study include:

Our BTEC Creative Digital Media (Film and Video) courses are creative hands-on programmes. You’ll complete a multiple range of specialist projects, carrying out your own research and learning a range of advanced technical skills.
You’ll be taught by experienced and dedicated teachers, who will guide you through the course, helping you to understand how the media works and the diverse career paths available. And you’ll learn in state-of-the-art facilities, including our Video Editing suite, where you’ll have access to industry standard equipment and software.
You’ll enjoy experiences, which will give you a vivid insight into the world of TV and Film. This includes high quality trips and visits and inspiring talks from guest speakers working in the creative media industries.
These courses are assessed via presentations, group work and assignments, and externally assessed exams.
