The Travel and Tourism industry is one of the biggest and fastest growing industries in the world. Many students enjoy this subject and pursue it at university or enter related employment. You will study a range of units covering the different sectors of the industry. In addition to your main study programme you will also have the opportunity to study additional qualifications to enhance your CV. The additional qualifications cover airline cabin crew, working as a resort representative and events planning. To further enhance your study programme we organise a variety of trips and visits to enhance the units you will be studying. These can include visits to Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Thomas Cook Air Cabin Crew Training Centre, Dublin and various other destinations. A dedicated team of teachers will guide you through your study programme to help you to reach your potential and achieve your qualification.

Assessment will mainly be through coursework in the form of reports, group work and presentations.

Please note the awarding body for all BTEC qualifications recently made the decision to extend the current BTEC courses in our offer beyond 2018. This means that for 2018 entry, all Level 3 vocational subjects will continue to be assessed by coursework only, with the exception of Art and Design.

There is potential for you to progress onto a wide range of university degrees leading to careers in Tourism Management, Events and Hospitality. You will also have opportunities to progress into careers within the airline, hospitality and events industry.
