Huddersfield New College are delighted to announce that they have once again been shortlisted for an award at the annual National Centre for Diversity Awards. The awards ceremony, which will be held in London on the 18th January 2018, recognises the achievements of professionals who work in some of the best organisations in the UK with respect to equality, diversity and inclusion.

The College, which was awarded Level 3 Leader in Diversity in 2016, has this year been shortlisted for Senior Leadership Team of the Year. This follows on from last year where the College swept the board and came top in five categories; UK Institution of the Year, Employee of the Year, EDI Lead of the Year, Most Innovative EDI Initiative of the Year and College Principal of the Year.

These prestigious awards are testament to the College’s commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, which the College’s Senior Leadership Team has placed at the very heart of its mission statement and values.

Zoe Shackleton, Assistant Principal, People and Place, says “We are delighted to be further recognised by the National Centre for Diversity for their forthcoming Grand Awards.  To be shortlisted in the category of UK Board/Senior Leadership Team of the year 2018 is a fantastic accolade and reflects our ongoing commitment to outstanding leadership and management at Huddersfield New College.  We would like to thank the team at the National Centre for Diversity for their ongoing support and to wish the fellow nominees good luck for the awards ceremony.”
