Every year, Huddersfield New College hosts a sports day in memorial of Adam O’Toole, a previous Huddersfield New College student who sadly passed away in 2007.
After a one minute silence, the games, organised by our current sport students, kicked off in the glorious (albeit unusual!) sunshine. This year’s sports included hockey, football and handball; those who took part in the games made a small donation to local charity, Life for a Kid, who HNC have worked closely with in past events.
Adam’s mother, Bev, was on hand to award the winners at the end of the day with their medals. This day is a testament to the students who study here, and it shows their dedication and determination to remember a student who touched the lives of so many here at HNC.
