Here at HNC, we ensure that what we teach in the classroom translates to respected industry skills. Our Media Students were recently invited to a networking event, organised in collaboration with The Media Centre, to showcase their skills and achievements from the past year.
Media students Kellie Smith, Nathan Archer, Ashley Phoenix, Abigail Wright and Laura Ellis, showcased their practical coursework to an audience that included local industry experts Shay Moradi (Running in the Halls), Ahid Miah (Panda Media) and Rob Walker (Studio Disjointed), who were on hand to provide constructive feedback and advice to our budding Media Students. Afterwards, former HNC student, Alice Barker, gave an inspirational talk.
It wasn’t all about showing off our students’ work though; this networking event also gave our students the opportunity to discuss possible work placements, career options and their next step after college.
The evening was a great success and it’s one we hope to run again soon!
