June saw HNC’s Design Department welcome pupils from Castle Hill School to take part in some art-based activities, coordinated by our Level 3 BTEC students.
Castle Hill School, based in the Huddersfield area, cater for the needs of learners aged 3 - 19 years, with severe or profound learning difficulties.
Based around an 'Under the Sea' theme, the design students prepared activities to allow the Castle Hill pupils to enjoy a vibrant session of arts and crafts, and also get a bit messy!
HNC and Castle Hill pupils alike had a great time, with some fantastic sea creatures created from paint and collages.
Our arts and crafts day is one of many community projects undertaken by our students here at Huddersfield New College, with many undertaking community work as part of their college qualification.
We had a great time with Castle Hill and hope to welcome them back to Huddersfield New College soon.
