Students from Huddersfield New College recently showcased their talents with a high energy show performed at the Lawrence Batley Theatre. A photo gallery from the evening can be found below.

This high energy performance showcased the vast array of dance talent at HNC. Students have been working with staff and external experts to develop performances in a range of dance styles including contemporary, musical theatre and commercial. Their pieces were performed in front of a full house at the LBT.

Students were involved in every step of the show from planning, production and the actual staging of the show. Students performed on an individual and group basis to a range of modern and traditional musical numbers.

Cat John, Dance and Musical Theatre Course Leader comments “This was a fantastic evening. Our guests really enjoyed the high energy performance and our students worked incredibly hard to deliver a professional standard show. The production really showcased the incredible talent we have at HNC, and a number of our second-year performers will be progressing to careers in the industry. Experiences such as these help our young people to gain relevant experience, whilst developing their skills. It was a fantastic show, and I would like to congratulate our students and thank all of our external experts for their support and expertise.”
