Huddersfield New College students are being invited to book their workshops at the forthcoming Get Ready: Preparing for your Future annual progression conference.
Taking place throughout the day on Tuesday 18th June, this specialist event is designed to help students explore their future options across the wide range of pathways available. Students pre-book for their choice of hands-on workshops which cover a wide range of topics such as advice about choosing a university course, applying for Medical degrees, careers in the RAF and Social Work, Student Finance, and applying for Degree Level Apprenticeships. Students are encouraged to book as soon as possible for their choices via Moodle as demand can be very high for some sessions.
A large-scale exhibition also takes place across Campus to support students to explore their interests and progression options as they prepare for Year 13 and the start of making their final decisions about next steps. Students will be able to speak to and network with a wide range of universities and employers. Parents/carers are welcome to attend this element of the day and should email for further information.
Tony Sturdy, Senior Careers and Educational Advisor comments: “Here at HNC our students can access a wide range of careers support and advice that ensures that they achieve their future ambitions. This annual event is a key way we enable students to explore the wide range of options available to them after HNC. It is an incredibly valuable event for both our students and our professional guest speakers and exhibitors. We look forward to a busy day and supporting our students to make those important decisions about their next steps.”
