Huddersfield New College has revealed that Anna Pedersen, a student and a member of the Talented Athletes Programme, has scored another goal in her career and has been signed for Everton Women’s U20’s Academy.

As talented goalkeeper, Anna had 6 seasons at Leeds United Regional Talent Centre, from U11’s through to U16’s, before joining Huddersfield Town Ladies last season. She is also part of the England U18’s squad having attended numerous training camps, making her debut earlier this year in a friendly against the USA.

Anna studies A Level PE, Biology and Maths and is part of the Talented Athletes Programme. This means that she receives support such as bespoke timetabling arrangements to ensure she can combine her passion for her sport with being successful in her studies.

Being signed for Everton Women’s Academy and being part of a Premier League Club is an exciting new development for Anna who will now continue to build upon her talent and receive training from some of the top professionals in the country.

Anna comments: “The past few months have been incredibly exciting and I am of course thrilled to have been signed for Everton Women’s Academy. This will help me to take my training to a whole new level, and of course hopefully see me playing for the Women’s First Team in the not too distant future. College has been incredibly supportive of my journey as a footballer and helping me combine this with my A Levels to make sure I can succeed in both.”

Pete Lombard, who leads the Talented Athletes Programme says: “We’d like to congratulate Anna on this amazing success. Not only does she represent her country, she has now signed for a Premier League club. Women’s football is a hugely growing sport, and we’re proud to be supporting a number of talented individuals as part of our programme. We look forward to seeing Anna’s career continue to go from strength to strength and hopefully seeing her playing for Everton’s Women’s First Team in the future!”
