Huddersfield New College has revealed that a group of A Level Business students will be in the White Rose tomorrow selling their unique new product.
As part of Young Enterprise’s national competition, a group of students have successfully created a brand new business concept, designed a product and wrote a business strategy including a full pricing and marketing plan.
AMET Games is run by Taylor Gibson, Eathen Marsden and Max Elvidge. The group came up with a special board game concept - EDYOUCATE - and they have been selling their professional product (pictured above) over the last few weeks. On Sunday 1st March the group will be promoting their product via a stand in the White Rose shopping centre. All three of the group study A Level Business.
Priced at £5, the game is designed to improve Literacy and Maths in 4 – 7 year olds by providing a range of activities to complete as players move around the board.
Matthew Kuszyk, Teacher of Business comments: “Our Business students often progress to some exciting and unique destinations in the real world of business. Participating in the Young Enterprise competition is a fantastic way for them to bring the theory they have been exploring to life, and experience some of the real ups and downs of the business world and solve problems. The project is a great way for students to experience every aspect of running your own business from idea to creating a sustainable product. Their board game is a fantastic concept, and the group are a genuine group of entrepreneurs – we do hope they will progress in the next stages of the competition. This is a great example of the opportunities our students have to bring their studies to life, and gain unique experiences that will help them succeed in their next steps.”
