Huddersfield New College has revealed that it has rounded off the academic year with a  special virtual awarding of prizes to students who are celebrating 100% attendance.

Each year the College celebrates those students who have maintained exceptional attendance  across the duration of their studies. Although Campus is closed due to the pandemic, students with 100% attendance across four, three and two years have each received a personal letter congratulating them and vouchers to spend of an amount increasing in line with the level of attendance they have maintained.

Although normally HNC hosts a special event where a certificate is awarded to  students with this exceptional attendance level, this year's virtual celebrations ensured that students didn’t miss out!  The students who have not missed any time at College across four and three years are listed below, and a further 69 students received a letter and vouchers for 100% attendance across two years.

Lee Goddard, Assistant Principal comments: “Celebrating those students who have maintained 100% attendance is one of our favourite end of term events. These students have demonstrated their commitment to getting the very most out of their HNC experience, and studies show that students who maintain excellent attendance flourish in their education and personal development. We were determined that lockdown wouldn’t prevent us from recognising the exceptional achievement of students who have maintained an impressive 100% attendance across 4, 3 and 2 years and we hope that they enjoy spending their vouchers. We very much look forward to hosting our more traditional celebrations during our new academic year, and rewarding our students who work hard to maintain excellent attendance.”
