Business students studying at Huddersfield New College attended a specialist remote workshop with PwC, one of the world’s leading professional services firms, in National Apprenticeship Week.
During the session, students heard from PwC staff and explored the wide-ranging services the organisation offers, and the huge variety of roles that make up this global leader in professional services. PwC offers college leavers a range of apprentice opportunities, and this workshop gave HNC students an insight into the application process and the progression routes on offer. A Q&A at the end of this session provided students the opportunity to ask questions of the presenters about their own routes to employment and ask advice on how they could proceed with their own applications. Students were also able to explore a range of work experience opportunities that they could undertake whilst studying at the College and took part in an interactive tasks to discover more about the different types of roles available at PwC.
Paula Husband, Head of Department for Business, Economics and Travel, comments “we were delighted to take part in this engaging and informative workshop with PwC during National Apprenticeship Week. Our industry links are an important part of the learner experience on offer here at HNC, and give students the opportunity to explore a range of next steps once they have completed their qualifications at College. We have a large number of our Business students successfully gain places on competitive apprenticeship programmes, such as those offered by PwC, and these specialist workshops really inspire and support students with their applications. Thank you to PwC for such an insightful session”.
