Huddersfield New College is delighted to reveal that recent graduate Stevie Turner is now getting ready to take to the skies following successful completion of her Jet2 Air Cabin Crew training.

Stevie has recently completed her studies in BTEC Travel and Tourism and Creative Performance and Acting, and successfully secured a place on the Jet2 Air Cabin Crew training programme. Following intensive training and 33 exams, Stevie has been awarded her ‘wings’ and is pictured at her celebratory #Jet2WingsCeremony. Now she will be taking to the skies as Air Cabin Crew.

Our Travel and Tourism course is available at a number of levels, and is a great way to support progression into the industry.

Amanda Beirne, Teacher of Travel and Tourism comments: “I am so very proud of Stevie. She not only stood out from the crowd to secure a place on the training programme, but she has also successfully completed the training and exams she needs to in order to take to the skies. Recent headlines demonstrate that the recovery of the travel industry has been far quicker than was anticipated, but on a positive note this does of course mean that there are plenty of exciting recruitment opportunities on offer, as airlines and other holiday companies look to meet the demand there is for holidays following the easing of restrictions.”

Stevie Turner adds: “Although it has not been, it feels like an age ago that I got an email saying I had a place on the training course, and now 33 exams later, I have my wings and my roster – my first flight will be in a couple of days to Rhodes! I am officially ready to hit the skies, which is incredibly exciting Time has flown both at College and during my training and I'm really excited about the future.”
