Huddersfield New College (HNC) is today sharing the news that two of our former Travel and Tourism students are celebrating securing positions and promotions in the travel industry.
We are very proud of the success of our former students and encourage them to stay in touch to update us about where their life-changing qualifications are taking them. This week from Applied Travel and Tourism students Daisy Roberts (pictured above left) and Abbie Galashan (pictured above right) contacted us to share some exciting news. Daisy has secured a position as BA Crew, and Abbie has been promoted from the same position to a Cabin Crew Trainer, also with BA.
Here at HNC Applied Travel and Tourism is available to study as part of a range of pathways, and as a 1, 2 or 3 A Level equivalent. If you’re in Year 11 our Open Event on 12th November offers an opportunity to meet our Travel and Tourism teachers and students who are currently studying at HNC. Whilst many of graduates do of course progress on to careers in the industry, Travel and Tourism can progress to a diverse and exciting range of careers.
Amanda Beirne, Teacher of Travel and Tourism comments: “We are very proud of our Travel and Tourism students and the exciting and unique destinations they progress to. It is brilliant to hear from graduates like Abbie and Daisy who are flourishing in their next steps, travelling the world in a role they love. Post pandemic the industry is booming, and there is literally a world of opportunity on offer. However, students on this course do not only work in the sector – it can support progression to varied careers including Marketing and Events. We would like to congratulate Abbie and Daisy on securing their dream careers and hope to welcome them back to HNC soon so they can share more about their journey with current students.”
