But, as these pictures prove, that’s exactly what the members of Huddersfield New College’s Cricket Academy could claim after they took to the nets against South Africa’s Dale Steyn.
Steyn, 29, stopped off to see his old friend – and current HNC cricket coach – Pete Lombard on his way to Durham for Saturday’s T20 game against England.
After talking to the group about his career to date and helping them with their bowling technique, he gave some of the lads the chance to face some of his lightening fast deliveries.
Steyn then officially opened the College’s new 3G astro turf pitch and answered questions from the boys before signing merchandise and posing for a few photos. He also tweeted to his 166,000 followers about the experience.
Spent the morning with my mate Peter Lombard coaching some future stars, a few RT coming up for them!

After leaving College Dale turned his attention to the match against England on Saturday where he was able to bowl out Ravinda Bopara and help South Africa win by seven wickets.
His morning at HNC obviously helped as he then mentioned the College in a post-match interview with SA Sports TV.
