Over the last decade Johannes has presented British horror films Forest Of The Damned, F and last year’s well-received Storage 24, starring Doctor Who’s Noel Clarke.

The students jumped at the opportunity to quiz Roberts about his career, and were treated to carefully chosen anecdotes from his time on set. They were told first hand about the pressures of working on a film set, as well as seeing clips and trailers from some of his previous work.

The talk was aimed at giving Media and Film students an insight into what it takes to make it in the industry and the level of dedication it requires to get your name featured above the title.

Film Studies course leader Dan Hanlon, who has organised Johannes’ visits for the past seven years, said: “It was great for Jo to once again give up his time to come and talk to our students.

“His Q & A sessions are always incredibly valuable and give students the chance to ask specific questions about the particular areas of the industry they’re interested in. It’s a great experience for everyone, and the feedback they give Jo on his films is very beneficial to him too.”
