Talented athlete Megan Horler has successfully passed a series of National Tests in Ice Skating with flying colours.

Megan, who is part of the College’s Talented Athlete’s Programme, passed her Advanced Dance Levels 1 and 2 and Field Moves Level 1 in early January 2017.

Megan has only been skating for four years, after being inspired to take up the sport by a friend.

Alongside her study of A Level Biology, Psychology and a Subsidiary Diploma in Sport, Megan trains for 9 hours a week at Ice Sheffield.

Megan is also planning to start competing in the sport too, with a potential first competitive appearance at a Bradford-based ice-skating event in March.

“I want to take ice dancing as far as is possible,” Megan said. “The love of the sport is what keeps me going.”
