One of Huddersfield New College’s former Travel and Tourism students, Sophie Lodge, visited the department this week to talk to current students about being a Resort Representative.

Sophie left the college three years ago and inspired current Travel and Tourism students with tales of the fantastic roles in the Travel industry that she has secured since her success on the course. She has worked a winter season at a ski resort, and has also worked in Lapland as one of Santa’s Little Helpers!

Sophie currently works for Thomson Sensatori as an Overseas Resort Representative, based mainly in Turkey and Cyprus. This summer she will continue her Resort Representative adventures in Crete.

Sophie is our second returning alumna to the Travel and Tourism department this year. You can read about Georgia’s visit earlier in the year here.
