Last Wednesday, Business students welcomed Graham Sykes, Head of Agency at Fourteen 19, who came in to work with the students on a research project about the 16-19 year old youth market. The research was for some of the largest organisations in the country.

Business students who participated in this session learned first-hand about the essentials of market research and its application in business.

The students helped Graham to shape a questionnaire for his target audience. They then distributed this to their peers to complete. Finally, they reviewed the findings from the questionnaire.

Fourteen19 is a youth marketing consultancy agency that works alongside brand and project managers to ensure that plans are robust, briefs contain detailed guidance and that campaigns exceed Key Performance Indicators.

The students who worked with Graham gained valuable experience working with someone from such a dynamic and successful youth marketing consultancy agency.

Students commented that it was especially useful to learn how to apply business theory about market research to a real life market research brief.
