On Thursday 27th April, the College Principal and her Leadership team will be attending the 2017 Educate North Awards Evening.

The College has been shortlisted for Sixth Form College of the Year.

The College has also been shortlisted for the Educate North Innovation Award, for its work in promoting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. The College was recently recognised as the UK’s Number 1 Organisation for EDI by the National Centre for Diversity.

HNC Principal, Angela Williams said, “I am absolutely delighted that we are one of only two Sixth Form Colleges short-listed for the Telegraph’s Educate North Sixth Form College of the Year award. This follows on from our success on being short-listed for the TES Sixth Form College of the Year award. Both accolades recognise the very high regard the College is held in, at both a regional and national level. This is not surprising, given that the College was the first Sixth Form College to be judged Outstanding in every respect by Ofsted, under their new, more rigorous inspection framework. We are one of the best Sixth Form Colleges in the country. And we are proudly flying the flag for Yorkshire at this Awards ceremony.”

Educate North & UK Leadership Awards and Conference, in association with The Telegraph Media Group, is a prestigious high profile awards event, which celebrates, recognises and shares the best practice and excellence in the education sector in the North.
