Wednesday 5th April saw the launch of a music project with pupils at Moorlands Primary School. First year students studying A Level Music at the college will work with a small group of pupils to help them to create an anthem for the school.
The pupils have already decided on the lyrics that they would like to feature in the song.
They have also decided on the variety of instruments that would like to accompany the song!
The goal for our students is to help bring the lyrics and the instruments together into an actual song.
They will work on this with the pupils over the next few weeks and at the end of the process everyone will get to sing and play the song together!
Moorlands pupil, Niyah, in year 3, commented with delight on the music workshop with our students: “It's exciting to work with new college students, they were good at encouraging us”
Another Moorlands pupil, Jonathon, in year 5, said “Our song is coming together nicely, I like it!”
The song will be ready to hit the charts at the beginning of May. Watch out Ed Sheeran!
