Every year, for the past ten years, Huddersfield New College has hosted a Sports Day in memory of former sports student, Adam O’Toole, tragically killed in a hit and run incident on New Hey Road in 2007.

The Sports Day is organised by current sports students, and this year included Basketball, Football and Handball competitions. Everyone who took part in these competitions did so with the utmost sportsmanship, in memory of Adam, who was a role model for sportsmanship during his time at the College.

Adam’s mother, Bev, has attended every Sports Day since 2007, and was on hand again to watch the three sporting competitions and to cheer on the competitors.

The Sports Day was enjoyed by all who took part, and was a fitting tribute to a young man who touched the lives of so many, during his brief time here.
