As part of the national Young Enterprise Scheme, Travel & Tourism students recently took part in an 'Airline Masterclass'.

The masterclass involved the students working in teams, to devise and market their own airline, and to determine the most profitable routes for their airline, the key to running a successful airline.

Each team then had to present their ideas to the rest of the group.

The team who gave the best ‘pitch’ for a new airline- Team Victoria: Liam White, Tori Brearley, Nyomi Rose, Ellie Smith, Leah Hadden, Jess Carolan- will now compete in the Regional Masterclass in Leeds on the 11th July against other schools and colleges in Yorkshire and the Humber.

The Young Enterprise Scheme is a long established national scheme, the aim of which is to develop the business skills of negotiation, teamwork and time management of young people.
