Premiership Football Club, Huddersfield Town, recently donated two signed footballs to help raise funds for the College’s chosen charity of the year. Tickets were sold throughout December, and the Club’s Centre-Back, Chris Schindler, drew the winning tickets during the last week of the winter term. Members of New College’s Diversity Team, who organised the raffle, were lucky enough to meet Chris at the Canalside Training Ground to oversee the draw.

We’re pleased to announce that the winners of the two signed footballs were Jessica Law and Jonathan Dawson (Vice Chair of Corporation). Congratulations on your wins, and thank you for helping us to raise much needed funds for charity!

The raffle raised £154 for the College’s chosen charity of the year, The Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, which will be added to money collected at a variety of fundraising events that the College has planned throughout the year. Our running total currently stands at over £1000, and with another two terms of fundraising ahead of us, we’re hoping to more than double that for this very worthy cause.

Zoe Shackleton, Assistant Principal, People and Place, commented “We’re grateful for the generosity of HTAFC for donating the signed footballs, and for everyone who bought raffle tickets to support this very deserving children’s charity“.
