What I like most about Law is that it is an ever-present and immutable characteristic of life. The rule of law is also a fundamental British value and is something that taps into my desire for procedural fairness, justice, and liberty for all. My favourite area of the law is Criminal Law, particularly the nuances of homicide and series criminal offending, which is a large issue in society today. Moreover, Law has taught me to view things from a range of perspectives and has helped me in becoming more objective and critical in my thinking. The Law department at HNC is comprised of seasoned, highly-motivated, and passionate teachers who consistently go above and beyond for their students and afford them all assistance that may be necessary. Teachers are extremely helpful in helping students to form an understanding of even the most complex of legal issues and approach questions with solid evaluative judgement.”
