HNC STUDENTS TO BLAZE A TRAIL IN ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION
13.12.2023HNC is delighted to reveal that the College has been selected as a Environment Leaders Programme Trailblazer Centre, meaning our students will be able to gain a leadership qualification while making a difference to the environment through the delivery of a community action project.
Students are currently being invited to express their interest in the Environment Leaders Learning Programme which has been developed by the Leadership Skills Foundation in conjunction with WWF-UK and the RSPB. During the course of the programme students will gain a Level 3 leadership qualification whilst working on a bespoke project which will make a difference to the planet and local environment. During the course of their studies, students will gain some incredible experiences and skills ranging from project management and setting of objectives, to analysing and evaluating the success of their chosen project. If successfully completed, students will be awarded a recognised leadership qualification which will be equivalent to 8 UCAS points.
The project will formally commence in January 2024, and students can register their interest in a place now. Places on the programme are limited.

We are therefore incredibly excited to have been chosen as a Trailblazer Centre, meaning our students will be able to take part in a programme that empowers them with the leadership skills and knowledge to identify an area they can make a difference. It is an incredible opportunity to lead the way in tackling climate change while gaining a nationally recognised qualification and skills and experiences that will help them to stand out from the crowd.”
