1st Year BTEC Music students visited BIMM Manchester on 21st March, to experience what it would be like to study on a popular music degree course.
The students were asked to prepare a song for a Live Performance Workshop and, having split into 3 bands, performed 3 songs for BIMM tutors.
The students then attended a workshop where their songs were critiqued by the BIMM tutors, and a new, improved version of the song produced.
As well as attending the workshop, the students toured the College campus, and took part in a Q&A session with current and ex-students to find out more about the courses on offer at BIMM, and student life in Manchester.
The students really enjoyed the visit, which has become an annual one for the BTEC course.
The Live Performance Workshop leader, Romario Bryan, said that the students were “the best he had worked with in these workshops, some great talent!”
The BIMM Institute focus on full-time Further and Higher Education courses in guitar, drums, bass, song writing, vocals, music production, music business, event management, music journalism, live sound & tour management and music teacher training.
