40 An inclusive and diverse HNC We are incredibly proud of our inclusive, diverse and collaborative College community. Our students and staff come from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, and respect is at the heart of our College culture. Our community is vibrant, and reflects the diversity of the workplace. Our approach to equality and diversity is embedded within our curriculum, with students given the opportunity to explore and celebrate their own differences inside and outside of the classroom. Students also explore their role in a diverse and modern Britain in all aspects of life at HNC. We offer regular opportunities to celebrate this approach on a whole College scale, with a range of events. Opportunities include: • Themed equality and diversity weeks each year, along with participation in events such as World Culture Day • The chance to be a Student Equality and Diversity Ambassador and make a difference • Guest speakers • Participation in national weeks such as Anti-Bullying Week and UK Parliament Week • Events to help you embrace and celebrate difference
